It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a YEAR since I photographed Danielle & Chris’s wedding, but so it goes. This wedding was an extra special one to me because I’ve been second shooting with Danielle (check out her amazing photography business!) for the past few years and she’s taught me so much about the business while also becoming a good friend. When she asked me to photograph her wedding I was a ball of excitement and nerves in equal measure, but I love how the photos turned out.
A year later, it’s fun to look back on these pictures and remember the palpable love in the air, perfect weather, candlelight dinner (and those amazing cake balls) at the Terrace Hotel in downtown Lakeland, and all of the laughs and smiles witnessed throughout the evening. Danielle and Chris, Happy Anniversary…and here’s to another great year for you both!
For me, one of the tell tale signs of my transition to adulthood has been realizing I am now one of those people…you know, the adults you would run into at church on a Sunday or out and about on the weekend who “knew you when you were just a baby, child, etc”? Well, that’s pretty much how I feel after taking Amber’s gorgeous senior portraits, because I used to babysit her! How is it that time flies by SO quickly?
Amber has been one of my sister’s friends for some time and growing up she lived just around the corner from our house. I remember countless nights spent at her house babysitting her and her younger brother, Logan, and these photos are a great reflection of the great young woman she has become. As a member of the class of 2014, I know she has only the best things ahead of her in life and I have to admit I’m a little nostalgic of my own high school years looking at these photos.
As you take a look at these photos from our session at Inniswood Metro Gardens, I’ll be sitting here resisting the urge to virtually pinch her cheeks and say, “I remember when I used to babysit you!!!” sigh….
