My sister is one of my best friends. Growing up we had our bouts of sibling rivalry (mostly due to the fact I was quite honestly a bit of a brat in my teen years) but she has since become one of the greatest friends I have. When it comes down to it, my sister is just really freakin’ cool.
I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow up and try to figure out what she wants to be and do in life. I don’t think anyone in my family has a real clue as to where she will be in 10 years, but my guess is that she’ll probably be doing something amazing and living a very fulfilled life. I’m just happy I get to be a part of it and have such a great relationship with her.
Taking her senior portraits was bittersweet. Honestly, when my mom asked me to come home to take her photos it didn’t really register with me that she was a senior this year. I just agreed to it and then had this shocking realization a month later like, “WAIT a second….Amy is GRADUATING? Are you SURE?” It’s amazing how time flies and how much we take for granted the time we have with family when we get used to seeing them everyday. Now that I’m 1,000 miles away from home, I realize just how precious that time is!
Anyway, enjoy some of my favorite photos from our session. And, have a chuckle while imagining all of the weird noises I had to make at her when taking these photos in order to bring out her stunning natural smile. 😉
