Amy | Senior Portraits – Worthington, OH

My sister is one of my best friends. Growing up we had our bouts of sibling rivalry (mostly due to the fact I was quite honestly a bit of a brat in my teen years) but she has since become one of the greatest friends I have. When it comes down to it, my sister is just really freakin’ cool.

I’ve had the pleasure of watching her grow up and try to figure out what she wants to be and do in life. I don’t think anyone in my family has a real clue as to where she will be in 10 years, but my guess is that she’ll probably be doing something amazing and living a very fulfilled life. I’m just happy I get to be a part of it and have such a great relationship with her.

Taking her senior portraits was bittersweet. Honestly, when my mom asked me to come home to take her photos it didn’t really register with me that she was a senior this year. I just agreed to it and then had this shocking realization a month later like, “WAIT a second….Amy is GRADUATING? Are you SURE?” It’s amazing how time flies and how much we take for granted the time we have with family when we get used to seeing them everyday. Now that I’m 1,000 miles away from home, I realize just how precious that time is!

Anyway, enjoy some of my favorite photos from our session. And, have a chuckle while imagining all of the weird noises I had to make at her when taking these photos in order to bring out her stunning natural smile. 😉

Cami | Senior Portraits – Inniswood Metro Gardens

Cami has been a close friend of my sister’s for awhile and I was so happy when I got the chance to meet her to take her senior portraits a few weeks ago. The day was a little crazy as I took Cami, Amber and Amy’s photos all during the same time block, but it was fun to hang out with all 3 girls and reminisce back to my own high school experience and even my own senior pictures!

Our weather was a bit chilly when we began shooting around 9:30am at Inniswood Metro Gardens but we had plenty of sunlight and shade and I’m really happy with the images I got. Cami was a total natural in front of the camera (and she has an amazing fashion sense) and I even told her I think a modeling career for Urban Outfitters is in her future!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from our session:

Amber | Senior Portraits – Inniswood Metro Gardens

For me, one of the tell tale signs of my transition to adulthood has been realizing I am now one of those people…you know, the adults you would run into at church on a Sunday or out and about on the weekend who “knew you when you were just a baby, child, etc”? Well, that’s pretty much how I feel after taking Amber’s gorgeous senior portraits, because I used to babysit her! How is it that time flies by SO quickly?

Amber has been one of my sister’s friends for some time and growing up she lived just around the corner from our house. I remember countless nights spent at her house babysitting her and her younger brother, Logan, and these photos are a great reflection of the great young woman she has become. As a member of the class of 2014, I know she has only the best things ahead of her in life and I have to admit I’m a little nostalgic of my own high school years looking at these photos.

As you take a look at these photos from our session at Inniswood Metro Gardens, I’ll be sitting here resisting the urge to virtually pinch her cheeks and say, “I remember when I used to babysit you!!!” sigh….
